Welcome to the website of the Montessori Elementary Charter School. MECS is a free public school serving students in the Lower Keys. We currently enroll students in grades one through six in bright exciting multi-age learning environments. Our school follows the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and nourishes a love of learning, and the development of curiosity, self-motivation and respect.
