02/08/10: Open Enrollment begins February 22nd and ends at noon on April 12th. A lottery to determine placement will be held on April 19th.

Please click on our "About our School" link above, and again on the "Admissions Info" link to download an application after February 22nd.

Applicants must receive a confirmation number to be eligible for the lottery.

Welcome to the website of the Montessori Elementary Charter School. MECS is a free public school serving students in the Lower Keys. We currently enroll students in grades one through six in bright exciting multi-age learning environments. Our school follows the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and nourishes a love of learning, and the development of curiosity, self-motivation and respect.
